Your new company
An excellent opportunity has become available to lead the finance function of a successful UK-based supplier - a specialist in their industry for over 40 years! The organisation consists of two businesses, located in Wallingford and the outskirts of Oxfordshire, with a combined turnover of approx £6.5 million, with around 20 employees.
Your new role
As the leading finance person in the organisation reporting to the senior management team, your duties and responsibilities will vary, including one direct report who will carry out the transactional responsibilities. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Overseeing the finance functions within the business, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- All month-end processes and production of accurate monthly and quarterly management accounts on Netsuite.
- Reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts and certain trial balance accounts on a monthly basis.
- Managing FX payments for imported goods from Asia and Europe.
- Ensure the VAT and tax quarterly returns are submitted on time and paid within the required time limits.
- Pay monthly PAYE and Payroll.
- Work closely with the Senior Management team on-site to provide real-time support and analysis to add value and drive commercial-focused decisions.
- Liaise closely with external auditors for the year-end accounts.
- Drive the financial performance and growth of the companies.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be an experienced QBE/CIMA or ACCA qualified Finance Manager/Controller happy to step into a number one role, taking full ownership of the finance function of two companies. You must be willing to work in the office with your time split between Wallingford and Thatcham - with the possibility of one day of working from home.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of £55,000 (negotiable) with the opportunity to join a growing business in a number-one role.
