Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has come up for an Accounts Payable Manager to be a part of a successful and highly reputable business in South Oxfordshire.

Your new Role

  • Line management of the accounts payable team
  • Maintain master data and manage communications with suppliers
  • Invoice capture – ensure automated OCR system operates effectively
  • Workflow processing – oversee automated workflow solution
  • Supplier payments – ensure successful processing of weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Reporting
  • Stakeholder and supplier relations
  • Maintain and improve internal controls
  • Process improvements
  • Ad hoc projects

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Background in a fast-paced accounts payable/finance department
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
  • Experience with process automation tools and workflow systems
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and MS Office, especially Excel
  • A natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative leadership style, with a focus on developing people and nurturing talent
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, supportive approach to resolving queries
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
